Getting to Grips

As I've not been using makeup and skincare for long, I am trying out a fair few products at the moment. Some are mine, some are samples, and some even belong to Shannon!

I did my skincare and makeup yesterday (09.09.17), and thought I'd show you a before and after picture. I also thought I'd tell you what products I'd used. So here goes:-

I used REN Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Water (http://bit.ly/2vYgi5b), to cleanse my entire face. I received this in my recent subscription to My Little Box. Afterwards, I washed my faced with L'oreal Paris Flowers Cleansing Wash (http://bit.ly/2fbzUs6).

This is how I looked at this stage:

I wanted to try and combat the problems I have with my dry skin, so I used a few more products, before applying the makeup. I applied bareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Serum (http://bit.ly/2wRsF2R), then Estee Lauder Revitalising Supreme Eye Balm (http://amzn.to/2xoZOTZ). I do have bags under my eyes, so I'm trying to do what I can for them 😄

Finally, I applied Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser (http://bit.ly/2fbMS9B), to my whole face. That was my skincare for the morning.

Now for my makeup! I applied Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in 52 Vanilla (http://bit.ly/2wRd0AG) to the majority of my face. I steered clear of the area on my forehead, just above my nose, as this is the driest part of my face.

Shannon then applied her posh concealers by Bobbi Brown, to my under eyes, and red areas. She used the Corrector in Extra Light Peach Bisque (http://bit.ly/2fcy8ac), and Creamy Concealer in Cool Sand (http://bit.ly/2xext27).

Now, with my base applied, I turned my attention to my eyes. I borrowed Maybelline Cream Eyeshadow 24hr tattoo in Pink Gold (http://bit.ly/2gTJ5RY), from Shannon, and applied this to my lids. I then used two colours from Estee Lauder. I have had these for quite a while now, so I'm not sure if they still make them. I applied Safari Green 44 Shimmer, then Sugar Biscuit 60 Satin.

I've been trying to practise doing my eyeliner next to the top lashes, and I haven't always been very successful! This day was no exception. I used Estee Lauder Double Wear Eye Pencil in 07 Forest, and let's just say, I need the blender at the other end of the pencil, to help me! Again, I'm not sure if they still make this shade.

Once I was fairly happy with my eyes, I applied mascara. I used Binky Waterproof  Mascara (http://bit.ly/2eXmi7h). This is one of my favourites, and I've had it for a long time. I also added some Bourjois Brow Design Styling Gel in 001 Blond, to add some colour and taming, to my eyebrows. I cannot find a link to this, unfortunately. However, it cost approximately £7.99 in Boots.

I've bought a couple of cream blushes recently, and I thought I'd give the E.L.F. one a go. It is called Soft Rose, previously Rose Royalty (http://bit.ly/2vXTNxv). This was a nice blush, however, I think I need to try it a few more times to be sure.

I added some of my Natural Collection Loose Powder, in Natural Translucent (http://bit.ly/2eXDysP), to the few shiny areas I have on my face. I didn't use much, as my skin is dry already.

For the last finishing touches, I applied Topshop lipstick in Naturist (http://bit.ly/2fbHT8C), to my lips, and Benefit High Beam (http://bit.ly/2gTKVCm) to the tops of my cheekbones.

This is the finished look:

Hope you liked it, I am sure there will more, as time goes on. If you've used any of these products, feel free to leave a comment.
